UFC 246 Salaries Released: Conor McGregor Smashes Pay Rankings

The final salary figures for UFC 246 have been revealed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, with Conor McGregor topping the rankings by a huge margin. McGregor faced Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in his highly-anticipated UFC comeback, destroying his opponent in just 40 seconds. And Notorious made over $75k per second in his triumphant return to the Octagon. The Dubliner took home $3,000,000 for the fight along with a $50,000 bonus for ‘Performance of the Night’.

His counterpart on the other hand took home a much smaller sum, with Cowboy being paid $200,000 for his appearance. Had he won, Cerrone’s purse would have doubled to $400,000. Holly Holm also took $200,000 from the fight. The former bantamweight champion received $150,000 for her appearance and a $50,000 win bonus for her lacklustre points victory over Raquel Pennington.

The disclosed figures don’t include commision or pay-per-view bonuses, but instead represent the flat sum paid by the UFC to each fighter for their appearance in Las Vegas. McGregor recently revealed he expected an $80M paycheck from his return bout, but the full amount is unlikely to be revealed.
