Joe Rogan Smashes Forbes List Of Highest-Earnings Podcasters

UFC analyst Joe Rogan has topped the Forbes rankings for highest earning podcasters in 2019, and earned twice as much as second place. Rogan began his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, back in 2009 with fellow comedian Brian Redban. The pair went back and forth on camera about random, often controversial topics and gathered a respectable following.

 Big Names

More than ten years on Rogan is still going strong, and JRE now has over 7.4 million YouTube followers. He’s now dedicated a portion of the show to his UFC interests, The JRE MMA Show. The show has featured some of the biggest names in UFC including Israel Adesanya, Ben Askren, Frankie Edgar, Kamaru Usman, Jorge Masvidal, Ronda Rousey, and Max Holloway, and he's even sat down with the UFC boss himself, Dana White.

 Number One

Apple recently named JRE as the number one podcast in the world, with 190 million downloads per month. And the 52-year-old has now been named by Forbes as the highest earning podcaster, scooping a whopping $30 million in 2019 alone. The comedian, commentator and host has had a multitude of celebrities sat across from him, and it’s no wonder he’s raked in a big fortune. His earnings for last year doubled those of second place Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark, who took home $15 million for their podcast My Favourite Murder. And the gulf between Rogan’s podcast and it’s rivals shows just how much he dominated.

Here are the top five podcasts for 2019:

3. Dave Ramsey: “The Dave Ramsey Show” — $10 million

 Hugely Succesful

Rogan was hugely successful in 2019, but it’s not just his podcasting that the ex-Fear Factor host has been busy with. Images recently revealed Rogan looking jacked after he took part in a ‘carnivore diet’. The host experimented by only eating meat and eggs for the whole of January, and the results were astonishing.
